The Brevard Symphony Orchestra Opens the 2014-2015 Concert Season

Dvořák’s thrilling New World Symphony highlights the Brevard Symphony Orchestra’s 2014-2015 season opener on Saturday, October 25th at the King Center for the Performing Arts in Melbourne. In celebration of the Star Spangled Banner’s 200th Anniversary in 2014, this American-inspired season-opener will begin with Dudley Buck’s Festival Overture on the American National Air. Following this tribute to the National Anthem, American composer Howard Hanson’s Piano Concerto will be played by featured pianist and Hanson Scholar, Scott Watkins. The concert closes with Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 in E minor – From the New World.[...]

Spend Sunday with the Symphony!

Music lovers of all ages are invited to spend “Sunday with the Symphony” on Sunday, August 17, 2014, at Barnes & Noble Booksellers in West Melbourne. Presented by the Brevard Symphony Orchestra, this fun, family-friendly, event will feature live music from BSO musicians and an opportunity to meet Music Director and Principal Conductor, Christopher Confessore. As a special treat, the Orchestra will also give the first 50 guests, ages 18 and up, a voucher good for one free ticket to an upcoming BSO concert. Escape to the Symphony with the NEW Symphony Adventure Passport!

With the Symphony Adventure Passport, patrons can escape to the BSO and enjoy the world-class music throughout the 2014-2015 season. This program is designed to provide patrons, ages 21 and up, with an easy, flexible, and affordable way to take a break from their busy lives and experience the BSO’s exceptional programming at the King Center for the Performing Arts. Passport holders will have a choice of up to three performances to attend during their first season with the BSO.[...]
