Join the Brevard Symphony Orchestra, EGAD (Eau Gallie Arts District) and the King Center for the Performing Arts as we present the Fall Cultural Arts Showcase 2014 on Sunday, September 21st at the King Center for the Performing Arts from noon to 6:00pm. BSO Receives Full State Funds and Endowment Matching Grant

The Brevard Symphony Orchestra is proud to announce they will receive full funding from the State of Florida, Division of Cultural Affairs for General Operating Support. The BSO ranked 57th overall from 307 applicants statewide. The BSO will also receive a matching grant from the State of Florida for its endowment fund through the Cultural Endowment Fund Program. The BSO qualified for this prestigious program in 2007.[...]

Following the monumental 60th anniversary season of the Brevard Symphony Orchestra, music director and principal conductor Christopher Confessore has announced concerts and events for the 2014-2015 season, Journey. The orchestra begins the season with a major work - Antonin Dvorak's New World Symphony. Dvorak journeyed to America to accept a teaching position in New York City, and while he found much that inspired him in America, he was still terribly homesick for his Czech homeland. This symphony serves as Dvorak's musical postcard From the New World and is his most beloved composition.[...]

The Brevard Symphony Orchestra closes the 2013-2014 season with the grandeur and pageantry of Carmina Burana, on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at 8:00pm at the King Center for the Performing Arts in Melbourne. The evening will begin with Adolphus Hailstork’s festive Celebration! and Gabriel Faure’s delightful Pelleas and Melisande Suite. Concluding the evening in grand style, Music Director and Principal Conductor Christopher Confessore leads over 80 musicians for Carl Orff’s epic masterpiece, Carmina Burana.[...]
