Music fans of all ages are invited to spend “Sunday with the Symphony” on August 19th! Admission is FREE!

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

12PM to 2PM: Children’s Activities Including Instrument Petting Zoo
2PM to 4PM: Live Music & Interactive Discussion With The Maestro
4PM to 5PM: Book Signing With Charlie Harmon

Presented by the Brevard Symphony Orchestra, this fun, family-friendly event will feature live music, children’s activities, ticket giveaways and interactive discussions. The event also marks the start of the BSO’s annual book fair which raises money for the Orchestra’s H.O.P.E. fund.

Highlighting the event will be an interactive discussion with BSO Music Director and Principal Conductor Christopher Confessore. This year, Maestro will be joined by author Charlie Harmon. Mr. Harmon served as Leonard Bernstein’s assistant and worked with Mr. Bernstein as his social director, gatekeeper, valet, music copyist, and itinerant orchestra librarian. Mr. Harmon’s book about his time with Leonard Bernstein, “ON THE ROAD AND OFF THE RECORD,” will be available for purchase during the book signing.

As a special treat, the Orchestra will also give the first 50 guests to our interactive discussion, ages 18 and up, a voucher good for one free ticket to an upcoming BSO concert. On-site registration required (begins at 1:30pm).

In partnership with Barnes & Noble, the BSO will also host a fundraising book fair which begins with each “Sunday with the Symphony” event and runs for five days after. By using BSO book fair voucher, Barnes & Noble will contribute a percentage of every sale to the BSO. Vouchers can be found on the BSO’s website at BrevardSymphony.com and can also be used to shop online at www.bn.com/bookfairs.

No tickets are required.
