About Karen Shriner, soprano

Karen Shriner is an Ohio native and a graduate of Millikan University in Decatur, Illinois. She has been a proud member of the world-renowned a capella group The Voices of Liberty at EPCOT for the past 14 years. Her local credits include Sea World, The Holy Land Experience, Orlando Shakespeare Theater, and the Orlando Fringe Festival, where her one-woman show, The Mysterious Life of Amy Thomson McKean received critical acclaim in 2023. Karen has been a featured vocalist with the Amarillo Symphony, the Venice Symphony, and the Orlando Philharmonic and was part of the New York Pops’ tribute to Stephen Sondheim at Carnegie Hall. Travel is a huge passion for her, and as a featured performer on multiple cruise lines, she has had the opportunity to visit 44 countries (and counting!). She would like to thank Maestro Confessore and the BSO for inviting her back to perform and everyone in attendance for supporting live music.
